2023 Continuing Education

A new milestone for Tristah,NP in the wonderful world of Aesthetics. In 2023 she celebrated 5 years in Aesthetic practice. Throughout these 5 years she has been able to travel across the US training with some of the top aesthetic trainers. Tristah has spent HUNDREDS of hours on continuing education. Every year brings new opportunities to learn and Tristah, NP takes full advantage of them. Training costs are beyond just financial. Although most off-site trainings are thousands of dollar per event, Tristah must also consider the travel costs, the loss of revenue being away from the clinic and time away from her family.  However, you all are so very important to her and she is always striving to bring YOU the very best results and that starts and ends with a lifelong dedication to education and training. Here are some of her 2023 trainings, and some exciting ones that are up and coming.

The Spectrum of Facial Aging: Techniques to stop the progression and treat the aging face

Speaker: Andreas Nikolis MD

Course description: Join Canada-based Plastic Surgeon, international key-opinion leader and clinical research expert, Andreas Nikolis, MD, MSc, FRCSC, for a scientific overview of the genetics of the aging spectrum complete with injection demonstrations and techniques for slowing the signs of aging starting with the youthful patient. Dr. Nikolis has served as the faculty chair for educational sessions at every major international conference, and he’s an active clinical researcher, publishing popular US studies like the “Kysseability Study’ and tremendous research on nearly every aspect of face and body injections. His advanced techniques with HA & neurotoxin have been adopted all over the world, and he is often part of shaping the global direction for HA product launches and indications, including the US for products like Restylane Refyne, Defyne and Kysse!

The concept of ageing is based on the progression of anatomy and its changes over time. The basis for it begins with an understanding of the unique genetic components each patient begins with and the propensity for change of these key anatomical regions.

We may have a patient in her 20s which demonstrates signs of ageing, for instance of the nasolabial fold and pyriform aperture, marionette lines etc. The goal of rejuvenation in each patient category is to identify where the process of ageing has started and treat these regions in order to decrease the visible signs of aging.

So the first order of treating patients is identifying the subtle signs of ageing at their earliest visible point and slowing down the process with the aid of fillers. Fillers depending on their G’, consistency and cohesively can be used to slow down the descent of fat pads and reverse visible signs of premature aging. Just like they can be used to reverse advanced signs of ageing in older patients.

Facial Injectables & The Perception of Trust with Dr. Raj Acquilla

CTRL + ALT + DELETE: Correcting Poorly Placed Filler

Join Dr. Kay Durairaj, an Internationally Renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon & Neck Surgeon, as she dives into the often less talked about side of filler injections…..correcting prior work! Dr. Kay will take attendees through the ins and out of identifying misplaced filler, taking corrective action to dissolve it, and then optimizing with proper filler placement! In her own practice, Dr. Kay finds she has to “reset” her own work from time to time when several years have passed since the patient received injections. Sometimes things don’t go as planned or a patient is referred to your clinic with anything but a blank canvas. Don’t shy away from hitting the hylenex! Let Dr. Kay show you the ideal approach including live injections featuring her signature techniques
